Fall Finishes
I have slowed my quilting down significantly since August, but I did manage a few fun finishes since then.
It'll be mostly eye candy today, but I'll pop some explanations in occasionally 😁
First fall finish is this scrappy Paw Paw
I fussy cut a few of the center squares & plus pieces. The back is flannel! My first for the year.
This next one is not necessarily a fall quilt, but I did finish it up last month.
The Corner Stars quilt uses 12 blocks from the swap I hosted way back in February!
So many fun fussy cuts here!!
This one is ALL FALL though - I decided to pull large teal scraps (I did buy a few fat quarters to flush this one out. Lots of my teal scraps are on the smaller side) for the background & use fall inspired scraps for the rings.
Originally I was planning to only use three colours - orange, red & purple, but I didn't have enough to make all 12 rings, so yellow & pink were added to the mix.
I pulled so many scraps for this one, but had some fat quarters as well, so I cut those up & made a fat eighth bundle which is still available.
Fat Eighth's are a lovely stash builder - and if you only cut part of them to use for a quilt that calls for smaller cuts (like this Free Wheeling Single Girl quilt) the rest of the F8 can get tossed in the scrap bucket and used for another scrap quilt later on!!
This Beary Scrappy uses some of those same prints, but with a few more Halloween-y prints and lots more orange thrown in!
I'm not planning on doing any winter-y quilts this year, but I also was not planning to make any specifically for Halloween (and I made two!) so we'll see what mood strikes me as we go along.
Thanks for hanging out with me & my eye candy! I hope you are inspired to use up something from your stash this week 💖
