Love Entwined - Week One

Welcome to week one of the super low key Love Entwined Quilt Along!

This will be a six week quilt along - with a new task each week until we have an assembled top. Week One is gathering fabric & cutting the background.

Love Entwined is written for yardage (and translated into scraps) but also works amazingly with layer cakes or fat eighths!

While I was moving I found this set of eighth yard cuts of different teal fabrics and a six yard cut of goldfish. Good thing I left myself a note, otherwise those would have gotten tossed into the scrap bucket and the fish put on a shelf.

However nearly all my low volumes are still in storage, so I rooted around for something I might have enough of and am going with scrappy solids for the background.
In pink.

Made myself a note I can tally off cuts on as I make them (my favorite way to keep track of scraps) and laughed when I realized it matches my fabrics quite well.

There's 10 pinks I'm using - which is nearly my entire stash of solids in this colour range (the pales stayed on the shelf)

Next week we'll cut the main hearts (big ones) and assemble those blocks!
