Surprise! I'm back.
It's been a hot minute but life has been wild lately. I'm finally back to creating and I have two small patterns to share!
First, story time (sorry)
I have a friend who asked about interlocking star border blocks because she could only find one pattern out there and it was not what she actually wanted (the stars were broken up and not actually continuous) and after searching for an hour on her behalf, only finding that same pattern and single star squares strung together and nothing else, I launched my fpp thing because I have no chill.
Or patience.
And it seemed like fun.
(It was.)

The solids were the first I made, planning to incorporate it into my Summer Book Club sewalong quilt .... until I realized my books are not 12 1/2" tall. Whoops!!
The next two (scrappy Ruby Star fabrics) are already on their way to their new home - I made them for the queen on the Midnight Garden bee I'm in.
And that lovely, sort of fussy cut, all black & white one will be going in MY garden.
I love stars.
Now! It was specifically designed to be a border block but it can be put together with more to form a normal block - or you can make a bunch and make it a very very long line of stars.
The pattern ends at 4 1/2" x 12 1/2" unfinished and I mocked up a few quilts with it in different ways.

And then I thought about how cute it would be to have a single star as a cornerstone with these as sashing, so I got my fpp hat on again and made that.
This one is 4 1/2" x 4 1/2" unfinished, to match the border.

But that single star can be it's own border, a centerpiece of a block, a cornerstone ..... or any other number of things.
Both patterns are available by themselves and I've also made a bundle of the two!
