Week Four!
It's Week Four!
We're working on assembly this week.
If you've got everything laid out, it's a simple matter of taking your rows off the wall and over to your machine - just remember it's on point so your 'rows' are actually diagonal.
The main thing to remember when working with setting triangles & on point quilts is that the triangles WILL NOT line up perfectly. They NEED to overlap in order for the quilt to be square.
In our case, the row sashing will extend over the triangle edges. This allows for things to line up and the smidge that is left over will be trimmed off before the inner border is sewed on.
The two corner triangles go on last (tip, press or draw a line in the center of the square and on the corner triangle, then line those two up before sewing.)
After trimming those tiny overhangs from the corner stones, it's skinny border time! And the outer border time!
And then we've got a finished flimsy!!!
