The Ex Pattern contains 11 pages of full colour instructions. The quilt can be made with either yardage or scraps; there are also notes regarding how to cut for gradient colouring.
While the instructions are for a throw size quilt, there are plenty of diagrams and written instructions, as well as directions for cutting a single block.

I mocked up the first Ex quilt in April 2022, planning to make it for one of Bean's swim instructors but set it aside since they were not offered.
It turned into his teacher's quilt instead, quite a bit later!
