Ex QAL - Week Three!

We're nearly done already!

This week is sashing (find week one here and week two here)

There's two different types of sashing in this quilt; inside and outside. Yardage version is super quick and if you have the Stripology ruler it's even faster. 
Scrap takes a little extra time but is so worth it. Especially if you're working with directional prints!

Once the smaller sashing bits are all pieced, it's time to make our long sashing that goes between each row. I've fussy cut a bunch of tiny prints for my black & pink scrappy Ex. They're so cute, I can't wait to see them all together. 

Yardage is done, too! 

These pieces are all skinny and small, so starch is your friend!!!! 
I starch before cutting the yardage version into sections, and again once I've attached my cornerstones. It helps to keep everything from warping.

Next week is assembly and we'll have a quilt top!!
