I'm back (ish)

2023 was a rough year full of unexpected things. Feels like my life came to a standstill for the second half of the year and I'm finally ready to start easing back into things. 

I decided to have fun with what I'm doing and focus on things I wanted to make, so I began drafting blocks for a quilt I planned to make for my son's birthday in October. It took me up until March 24th to have all 9 blocks done and I ended up releasing them as a pattern bundle - more about them in this post.

It has been an incredibly quiet year so far business wise, as I've only started six quilts and three of them are gifts. 

I'm still taking commissions, but have dropped the number I will accept each year, and I've also started taking clients for long arming! I've quilted more for others than myself so far this year and am incredibly grateful to my friends who have trusted me with their beautiful creations. 

I'm working on two patterns currently - one started last March that is fully paper pieced (it seems to be where my mind is these days) and one that is on point and goes real fast with yardage.
