Week Five is borders!
The pattern is written with three borders - but as always you can change that to make the quilt your own if you'd prefer something different.

I like to starch my borders - especially the corners - to make them lay flat and stay square. Personally I do it for each round of borders, not just at the end.

I also wrote in an optional pieced section for the accent border and the seam allowance is SUPER IMPORTANT for this way. Especially with the baby size!!! If you use scant seams your morse code border will not fit.

I'm skipping the piecing this time. The quilt felt chaotic enough with the colours I chose and I couldn't decide what would look best there, so I just left it the scrappy accent border.
With starch. Lots of starch.

Next week is either catch up or quilting!!
